At its publicly noticed meeting and public hearing held August 6, 2024 the Lakeport Fire Protection District Board of Directors voted to increase the Measure "M" parcel tax to $6.93 per benefit unit for fiscal year 2024-25.  This action was taken via a board motion with a unanimous vote passing the motion.

Unfortunately, parcel tax rates must be increased via board resolution and not board motion.  Therefore, a special meeting has being called for Friday, August 9, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the District fire station located at 445 N Main St in Lakeport.  The meeting has a single action item agenda and only includes a vote on a resolution ratifying the board's decision made August 6 to adjust the parcel tax rate.  The entire meeting is expected to last 5 minutes.
