The Lakeport Fire Protection District’s main fire station, Station 50 located at 445 N Main St in Lakeport, is almost 100 years old.  The Fire District has occupied this building since 1946 with remodels done in 1956 and 1963.  It has been 60 years since the building was remodeled. 

Station 50, in its present form, does not meet the current needs of the fire district nor will it meet any future needs.  There will be a Board workshop to discuss what the options are for our main station; remodel, teardown & rebuild, or relocate.  This meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 5:30 pm in the City Council chambers of Lakeport City Hall, located at 225 Park St in Lakeport.  The workshop is open to the public and the Board is encouraging commentary and opinions from District residents who attend the meeting.
